Once upon a time, there was a couple who lived in a small village. They were a hardworking couple. They had a big house, land, many goats, chickens and two bulls. Man is always busy working on digging and cultivating the land. The woman was always busy with their household things. They only get time for each other at night. They had one son. They were working hard for their son. Day by day they were saving money to raise their child well. They didn't even buy any clothes for them. They just wear what they have.
They worked all day and saved money from selling the crops. Their wife worked all day feeding his family and animals. Both of them were working by not watching the time. They were poor but they knew saving was much important for them. They thought they didn't get any big achievements because they were uneducated. Now they wanted their kid to be educated so that kid would have air name and fame tho they were working hard without even thinking day and night.
They knew the value of education which would take them out of that place and could settle them in a big place. They didn't get any education because their parents didn't take them to school because of poverty. So they didn't want their child to face the same things. One day man went to dig the land with his two bulls. One bull was so active and did his work well but another bull was so lazy. He always wanted to sit on the floor when they were working.
When man started digging with bulls, one bull worked well but another was too lazy. It always sat on the ground from time to time which made him so disappointed. His wife went jungle every day and brought grass to feed them every day and they were not even working. He was so disappointed. Whenever he tried to move ahead that bull just sat down on the ground. The digging process only worked when all three of them moved together. If one of them doesn't work well then the und won't dig properly. This is why his work was undone that day.
He returned home sadly. His wife saw him being sad and asked what the real matter was. He said this brown bull didn't even move, it just sat on the ground and I didn't even want to hit them to work for me. Why didn't that brown bull work like the black bull? He was disappointed. Her wife was also worried. If it goes like this then they can't cultivate crops there. Another day man again went to the land to work with his two bulls.
When he tried to move ahead, that brown bull again sat down on the ground. He was so disappointed. He can't even buy another bull because he has saved money. He can't even hit that bull because he didn't want to do violence. He was thinking if the black bull was doing his work properly then why this brown one was too lazy? He was taking deep breaths. He sat down on the tree and kept on watching that brown bull.
At that time one unknown person came to him and asked hello brother how's the work going? Man said not well, my bull was not even moving, whenever I tried to dig the soil, it just sat down. That stranger heard him and found out he was so worried. The man said do you have any bull in your house? He said no I don't have any bull but I do have an idea to move your bull. Man asked what's the idea? That stranger said the idea was to put some itching leaves on that brown bull and it would never stop and keep on moving.
He went to the forest and brought the itching leaves. He put that all over that brown bull. Brown bull skin started to turn white. Late,r on it became completely white. After that brown bull felt itching and started to move continuously. That man was so happy and finished his work too soon. He was thinking now he would do the very day to make that bull move. He thanked that stranger. He said thank you so much, you just made it so much easier, my house is nearby, please go and stay there, it's up there. He showed his house to that stranger and told him to stay there and he will be back.
The stranger said can I get a cigarette in your house? he said yes, my wife will be there, please go unasked one cigarette. She will give you that. That stranger went to his house and started to call his wife. Their wife came out and said what do you want stranger man? A stranger man said your husband bought a new bull from me, it cost one thousand, so I'm here to take that. Will you please give me my money? To make sure she saw the bulls down there from her house. She saw there was one black and one white bull. She saw that the white bull was the new one.
She thought how could she give the money to the stranger without even asking his husband? So she started to show honeyed honey, did I need to give him? So his husband said yes honey, give him one, it was in the corner of the locker. After that, she gave one thousand money to that strange man. She asked him whether he would drink milk or tea. He said he was in a hurry and went back on his way. After a while, her husband came with those two bulls. She asked how was new bull was working. His husband was like what was she talking about?
My wife said this white bull, how was it working? He said are you became mad or what? This white bull was ours. It was our brown bull which turned white because of the itching leaves. Now I will clean it up. She said then why did you tell me to give one thousand money to that stranger? He was shocked. He said what are you talking about? When did I tell you to give the money to a stranger? She said when I asked you if should I give him then you said yes. He said what are you even talking about? I was telling you to give him one cigarette. Why do you give money to him?
She said, that a strange man asked for one thousand money because he said you bought a new bull from him. Last night you said that brown bull was not working. So I saw white bull today and that stranger said you brought that from him. The man was surprised knowing that he made them fools. He helped him at first and took his savings. That night both the husband and wife couldn't sleep because that one thousand money was saved for the whole day's work.
