Once upon a time, there was a village where the old magician and his daughter lived. They were from a middle-class family. There was no one beside him and his granddaughter in that house. Her name was Mary. Mary's mom and dad died in a bus accident a long time ago. Since then she grew up with his grandfather. She was a clever and brave girl. She was only eight years old whereas his grandfather was seventy-seven years old.
They lived in a broken house. The roof of the house was broken. When it rains, water drops from the roof of the top. Mary was little and old magician was too old to repair all the broken things in the house. All the utensils were full of dirt. The plate, spoon, bowl everything was dirty. It is really hard for that old magician to clean all those messes. They used to live somehow and manage their grocery.
In the morning they brought grass for the goats they had, and in the daytime, they always went outside walking and watching nature, doing magic in public and earning enough money for the next day to get food. It's their daily routine to go out and do magic to earn money for food and clothes. Only one Saturday do they stay at home. On Saturday they live in the house and clean the house.
After hard work of a whole week, finally, it was Saturday. They stayed at the house and in the morning they started to clean the house. After that, they feed grass to the goat. They cleaned the house e but they were tired. They couldn't clean the utensils, plates, spoons, forks and bowls. Many utensils were remaining to clean. They were tried and Mary told his grandfather that she was hungry.
They don't have any groceries to make in-house. It was Saturday and all the shopkeeper were also shutting down the shop and having their weekend. There was nothing to eat in the house. She was a child and she started to cry as she was so hungry. She was starving. After watching this old magician was worried about his granddaughter. And thinking about how should he feed her. The old magician look every corner of the house but there was nothing to eat.
While he searching for food, he heard the sound, come and take mangoes, it is very sweet. Someone is chanting this again and again. He gets to know that he is a mango seller. He told higranddaughterer to go out and come here. Mary went out and called that mango seller near her house. Mary said can we have mangoes? The mangoes seller saw her dress was torn and he thought she couldn't afford the price of mangoes. He said you can't afford the price of mango. You can't have it.
She got angry and said first of all tell me the price of these mango. The seller said 1 kg mango is worth o00 rupees. She didn't have a single rupee even. She said will you please come inside my house, there was my grandfather, maybe he could buy it for me. The mangoes seller was in doubt, he thought she was wearing torn clothes. She is just wasting my time. Mary said just come inside once. The seller agreed and went to her house. When he entered the house he saw that house was a full mess, full of dirt and the roof was broken.
An old magician said my granddaughter was starving. Can you please give me a few mangoes? I have no money to give you. They were saving money for the next grocery as they didn't work in Saturday for Sunday grocery. They got some money but not enough to buy the mangoes. The seller said the price of mangoes was 500rs per kg. The old man only has 100 rupees. The old man tried to give him one bowl to him in exchange for the 1 kg of mangoes. At first, the seller saw the bowl and said it was not worth my mangoes. The old magician had an idea to get those mangoes. He requested the seller but he didn't give him mangoes. He turned the other bowl into gold and showed it to the seller. The old magician said will you please see this, is this worth it for mangoes? The seller cleaned up the dirt of that bowl and saw it was made of gold. He gets shocked. Deep inside he thought he had become now. He was so happy inside but not showing his reaction.
He thought that the old man knew nothing about this gold. He is too old to understand this. He said oh, it's not worth it for my mangoes. But I can give 1kg mangoes in exchange for this bowl just because I don't want this little kid to be sad. He gave 1kg of mangoes to Mary and took that bowl with him. Mary ate mango and it was very sweet. The old magician also ate a mango. Both of them were happy now. The seller went across the lake carrying that bowl. Later on, that gold bowl turns how it was before which was made of plastic. The seller was shocked. He felt like it was his dream. He went back to selling mangoes to other places and Mary and the old magician were enjoying mangoes.
