Once upon a time, there was a beautiful village. Calvin was a young man who lived in that village. He lived there with his old father, wife and son. His old father was eighty years old and his wife was twenty-five years old. His son was eight years old. He was twenty-six years old. They were from a middle-class family. Calvin was so hard hard-working person. He used to work on his land the whole day. They owned their own house and they had so much land. It was of his old father.
His son was eight years old and was very innocent. His wife was beautiful and kind. His father was so old and weak that he couldn't even see from his eyes. He eats food on his bed. He slept on his bed all the time. He can't move from his bed. He even pee or pooped on the toilet. Calvin's wife and Calvin took care of him. They clean old fathers. Old father was so weak he needed people to feed him.
Calvin was much worried about his family. He needed to go to work every day. When you go for work his wife needed to look up for his father. She cleaned her father pooped too. She was kind and took care of his father in law properly every day. But one day she was so done with that. She said to Calvin, listen, honey, I loved your father a lot but I have to do my work too. Your father didn't let me do my work. He always called me to feed him or give him medicine or clean up his poop.
Calvin also thought about that. Calvin was much worried about his father and his wife and son. Calvin's friends called him to celebrate their farewell because Calvin's friends were about to go aboard. Calvin was so sad that his friends were leaving him. But Calvin was also sad that he always wanted to abroad so that he could earn money to make his son's life better. Because of his father, he couldn't go. Because of his father too, he couldn't go to celebrate their farewell even cause that day, his father needed to go to hospital.
He was so angry. He started to talk to himself. He started to say how long this would go on. Why was he alive till now? Why didn't he die? He did nothing. He just eat, sleep and pooped and me and my wife needed to clean up that mess. I think I needed to do something. If it went like this then we can't do anything in life. I missed a chance to go aboard. That's a big loss.
He was so sad. He started to think what if I throw him in the river? He will drown and think, "k I should do that. It is because he had no life now. But me and my wife and son had. He already lived his life. Now all he could do was eat, sleep and poop. So I think I need to send him to heaven. It will be good for all. He was always wanting for heaven. I guess I should do that.
He went back to his home. He said everything to his wife. His wife was shocked. But he convinced her. He said I missed the chance to go aboard. It could raise our standard of living. But we missed that. Now all of my friends are going abroad. After five years their life will be someone else and we are going to end up in this small house. You were always busy to look up for my father. Sometimes medicine, feeding, sometimes cleaning the mess or his pooped. So I'm worrying about my family.
He convinced her to kill him. They were not even taking this thing to kill him. They were saying to themselves that they were doing that to send him to heaven quickly. The next morning he woke up early in the morning. He carried his father in a big basket. He kept moving ahead. His son was following him. When he reached halfway he saw his son was following him. He didn't care and took him with him. Calvin and his son kept moving ahead talking to each other.
Calvin father can't even see properly from his eyes. He had no idea where his son was bringing him. He started to think that maybe Calvin was taking him to the temple so that he couldn't pray infornt of God. He was thinking so positively as he never saw flaws in his son. The old man had no idea that his son was bringing him in the basket to throw him in the river. The old man kept on moving and saying now you will go to heaven sooner
At last, he reached the river. The flow of that river was so extreme. His son was watching him so carefully. When Calvin was about to throw his father to the river. His son suddenly said stop Dad. Calvin thought he wanted to save his grandfather. But Calvin's son said Dad don't throw to the basket with grandfather. You are going to throw the grandfather into the river but save that basket. Don't throw him along with the basket. Just saved that basket.
Calvin asked his son why not to throw that basket. Then his son replied, Dad you are throwing your father in the river. So when I get older, I need to do the same for you. At that time where will I look up for this big basket? So please save it for me. I will use it for you when I get older. He was so shocked listening to that. His son was innocent. He said what he saw. So Calvin realized that he was about to make a great mistake.
He went back to his home with his father and his son. He said everything to his wife. Both of them felt guilty about how they planned to kill their father. So they regret it later and ask for forgiveness from God. After that, both his wife and Calvin started to look up to his father till his death. They got to know the meaning of father in their life. So they decided to take care of their father as long as he survived.
